Biography

Clive qualified as a Solicitor in 1988.

He joined Foys Solicitors expanding Dispute Resolution Department in 2022, and specialises in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes, with a strong focus on Company and Partnership disputes, contentious trusts, probate, property disputes and Landlord and Tenant matters.


Having obtained an Honours Degree in Law from Liverpool University Clive attended the College of Law in Chester whereupon he passed his Solicitors Finals and then undertook two years as an Articled Clerk before qualifying as a Solicitor.

Clive has worked for various firms in South Yorkshire and the Humberside covering nearly all aspects of Civil Litigation, Matrimonial , Personal Injury and Employment, including multi -million pound cases and one which successfully proceeded to the Court of Appeal.

Approach

Clive’s approach to Dispute Resolution is founded on listening to Clients and trying to resolve rather than create problems. He places great emphasis on understanding clients’ objectives from the outset but will try to ensure that they are aware of the potential cost should it become apparent that legal proceedings are likely to ensue.
